RamsTrust would like to clarify the situation with regard to a tweet on 20th July.

We appreciate the feedback from members and fans who don’t want other fans to take on debt.

We don’t want supporters to take out payday loans or fall victim to loan sharks. Credit unions may be an appropriate option for some supporters. However, everyone’s circumstances are different and people should obviously seek advice to get the best option for them. We raised awareness of credit unions because they are fellow co-operatives.

We hope that the club will be able to put in place the direct debit option as soon as possible so that fans will not need to resort to credit.

If the direct debit option cannot be implemented shortly, we hope the club will find a way to allow season ticket holders to secure their seats without a large outlay.
