Supporters’ Groups Send Letter To Kwasi Kwarteng

20 June 2022 rt2

To Kwasi Kwarteng – Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy for the United Kingdom

Dear Sir,

As Secretary of State for Business, we would urge you to intervene with Quantuma – the administrators for Derby County Football Club – in order to expedite the sale of the club as soon as possible.

We have at least 2 parties who have publicly said they had agreed offers to take the club out of administration at the end of last year, but Quantuma wasted several months trying to sell to Chris Kirchner who subsequently withdrew his bid.

Quantuma is borrowing further money to keep the club going – increasing the debt and making the club more difficult to sell and increasing frustration amongst fans, prospective purchasers, and now the EFL.

The EFL has now stepped in to expedite the process, but has told us they are increasingly frustrated that information is not being shared with them.

You are the only person who can hold the administrators to account so can you please proceed to do so?

We are copying in your colleague Lucy Frazer MP as Minister responsible for HMRC, which is among the football club’s most significant creditors.

Regards,

RamsTrust
