RamsTrust Members Survey 2026: What You Told Us

29 March 2026 Tom Bestwick Comments 0 Comment

Earlier this year, we invited RamsTrust members to take part in our annual members survey to help shape the future direction of the Trust.

We’re pleased to share that 109 members took part, providing valuable insight into who our members are, how they engage with RamsTrust, and what they want the Trust to focus on going forward.

A loyal and passionate membership

The results show that RamsTrust is supported by a highly loyal base of Derby County supporters, with many members having followed the club for more than four decades.

This depth of experience and connection to the club continues to shape the Trust’s work representing supporters’ interests.

We were encouraged to see that around 80% of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with their RamsTrust membership.

At the same time, the survey highlighted an opportunity to broaden the Trust’s reach, with over 80% of respondents identifying as male. As we look ahead, we will consider how RamsTrust can better engage female supporters and encourage wider participation.

Strong support for the Trust

Members also expressed broad support for the proposed £5 annual membership fee, provided that the Trust continues to deliver clear value for members.

Communication matters

The survey confirmed that email remains the most effective way to communicate with members, with the vast majority saying they regularly read the RamsTrust newsletter.

Encouragingly, 91% of respondents said they read the monthly newsletter, and feedback on its quality was positive.

However, members also highlighted an important area for improvement: the RamsTrust website. Feedback indicates that improving the website experience will be an important priority for the Trust in the coming months.

As a result of our findings, we are inviting members to register their interest in being part of a focus group to support the future direction of our website. To register your interest, please send an email to membership@ramstrust.org.uk and we will be in touch with future details.

What content you told us you wanted to see

Members told us they want RamsTrust to continue focusing on:

  • Governance and transparency around Derby County
  • Board viewpoints and insights
  • Behind-the-scenes perspectives
  • Rams nostalgia and heritage content

This feedback reinforces the Trust’s role as a voice for supporters and a source of information and insight.

A big thank you from the Board

We’d like to thank every member who took the time to share their views.

Your feedback will help guide RamsTrust’s work in the year ahead and ensure we continue to represent Derby County supporters effectively.

Derby County was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player and 1974/75 First Division title-winner, Henry Newton, who has died at the age of 82.

The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Henry’s family and friends at this difficult time. 🖤
