Board Profile – Andy Allen

Day job: Investigations Guidance Officer for the Office of the Public Guardian.
Expertise: I was a financial planner for many years, helping clients achieve their retirement goals. I have recently become a Civil Servant and I am fully enjoying it.
First Rams game: Derby 2-0 Gillingham (7th April 1986). My dad was a master butcher and, as such, Saturday games were out of the question. He held off taking me to a game until I was 10 due to the trouble at grounds in the ‘70s and ‘80s. I can still vividly remember the first time I ascended the steps and saw the floodlit pitch for the first time. From that moment on I knew there would be no other club for me.
Favourite Rams match/memory: Derby 5 Forest 0. This is the clear winner, although I do have fond memories of spoiling Man Utd’s promotion party at Old Trafford by Malcolm Christie scoring the only goal for us, keeping us up in the process. Also the 5-2 win at Hillsborough with Wanchope, Eranio, Baiano, Stimac et al playing with utter freedom.
Favourite Rams player: Igor Stimac
Joined RamsTrust Board: November 2024
Reason for joining the Board: I have gotten so much from my association with Derby County over my life and felt it was the right time to give something back. As a club, we have been given a second chance and I want to play my part in making sure we grab that chance with both hands.
