Hilary Leam appointed to new Derby County Supporters’ Board
RamsTrust is delighted to announce that its Chair, Hilary Leam, will be a member of the new Derby County FC Supporters’ Board.
Hilary, who has served as our Chair for the past 18 months, has extensive experience in serving as a board member, board advisor or non-executive director for companies in the health and wellness sector, ranging from Holland & Barrett International through to start-ups.
The independent Supporters’ Board will represent the interests of the Derby County’s supporters, working in conjunction with the club’s board for mutual benefit, with an emphasis on good governance, strategy and financial stability. It will strengthen and deepen the relationship between the club and its fans, while giving supporters a new power to prevent any future owner from selling Pride Park, or moving the club away from its current home, as well as other important vetoes relating to the Rams’ culture and traditions.
Hilary said: “I am passionate about the opportunity that the Supporters Board offers to both the club and the fanbase. Derby County is about the fans who support it and the communities it serves, which is why it’s important that meaningful fan consultation and engagement is in place to support the long-term stability of our club.
“I’m looking forward to working with the club and my fellow Supporters Board members to represent and reflect the views of both RamsTrust members and the wider fanbase.”
