Jake Buxton confirmed as special guest for RamsTrust 2026 AGM

15 July 2026 Tom Bestwick

RamsTrust is delighted to confirm that former Derby County defender and firm fans’ favourite Jake Buxton will be the special guest at our 2026 Annual General Meeting.

Jake will join Life After The Rams host Colin Gibson for a live podcast interview during the AGM, which takes place at Harrison’s Hub, Pride Park Stadium, on Thursday 24 September from 7:30pm.

For Rams supporters, Jake needs little introduction after an unforgettable seven-year spell with the club in which his wholehearted performances, passion on the pitch, a clear understanding of what it meant to play for the club, and obvious connection with the supporters made him one of the most popular Rams of his generation.

Since hanging up his boots, Jake has turned his hand to management and coaching. He was in charge of another one of his former clubs, Burton Albion, has been part of the Academy set-up at Derby, and is now manager of Alfreton Town.

But there will be no more spoilers from us… Jake will be sitting down with Colin Gibson to talk about all of that and more – live at the RamsTrust’s Annual General Meeting.

For all Rams fans attending the game tomorrow.

In the 28th minute, there will be a minute’s applause for my little cousin, Danny Cooke, who suddenly passed away through SUDEP aged just 28.

A lifelong Rams fan with plenty of opinions (those who know, know 🤪), but one thing was

Derby lose 2–1 on opening day.
Ted McMinn on making an instant impact: “
Scoring on your home debut made a big, big difference. The quicker you get the fans on your side, it’s a hell of a lot easier.”
